Kimcha DePischa

In preparation for Passover, the graph of financial expenses in Jewish homes jumps sharply, when quite a few people stand embarrassed in front of their dismal financial situation, and in the absence of the minimum amount to purchase matzah, fruits, vegetables and other necessities, they are not at all sure that on the holiday of freedom they will feel the freedom.
In front of the silent cry of these needy people, there is the ancient and holy minag of: ‘Kimcha DePischa’ (flour for Pesach) which each one donates money for his needy brothers and sisters so that they will have enough money to make the Pesach as it should with peace of mind.
Donating to the ‘Kimcha DePischa’ enterprise is considered one of the most important charities in Judaism, as many do it for the sake of uplifting the souls of their loved ones.
We at the Shomea Tefilla organization work hard to uplift the souls of the deceased, with an emphasis on those who did not leave behind someone to act on their behalf.  As part of these activities, we donate ‘Kimcha DePischa’ to the needy, for the upliftment of the Jewish souls.
