The Posek Hador, Rabbi Eliashiv Zt’l, who was involved in the idea of opening the special organization ‘Shomea Tefilla’, personally asked the head of the institutions, Rabbi Reuven Zvi Kahane Shlita, to do something also for the lonely souls, the rabbi who cared for each and every one did not forget even these souls, and it was very important to him that an organization should be established that would take care of learning Mishnayos and lightning candles for their souls, and indeed as a result we have enshrined on our banner the work for ‘Chesed Shel Emes’, when to this day thousands of calendars have already been printed and distributed in many digital medias with the dates of all those souls, and thanks to this there are already over 5,000 volunteers today who learn Mishnayos or light a candle for those souls!
